Shirley Bird holds an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Visual Media Design Technology from Spokane Falls Community College.
Bird possesses a natural talent and has a sensitive nature, which evidences itself in the subjects and style of her paintings. Her favorite subject are animals but also paints florals, people, and landscapes.

For the past 30 years she has attended a variety of workshops to help expand her understanding of art and to continue growing in new ideas, which she continually shares with others.
She is currently teaching classes in watercolor and oil.

Her wish is to reach everyone through her art and to hopefully make the world a little friendlier and brighter each day.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I believe that as an artist, it is a gift to create and share my talents with others. That my work will travel where it needs to go and be seen by those who need to see it.
