I was born in North Dakota. When I was in the 7th grade I moved to Astoria, OR, with my family. It was in Astoria that I met my husband. After we were married, we moved to Usk, WA, where he was born and raised. We had four children, and my family was my life. When the children were raised, I was left with an emptiness. My youngest daughter talked me into going to an art class, and I went for five Friday evenings and was hooked. The most important thing the teacher taught me was color study and to not make a habit of going to different art classes but to practice, practice, and develop my own style.
I do not sketch any thing. I do all my painting free hand with a brush. I've been painting since 1987. I'm classed as an impressionist and realism. My animals are very realistic.
